Sofradir EC is currently
seeking an accomplished Director of Business Development
to lead growth with defense contractors, research
institutions and commercial companies located in
the Western United States. The desired candidate
shall be responsible for developing new business
with existing and new customers including identifying
new opportunities, networking to identify the proper
entry point, initiating preliminary discussions,
making commercial presentations, working with the
customer to define requirements, helping to develop
optimum solutions to meet requirements as well as
negotiating and closing contracts. The ideal candidate
shall have significant prior experience in working
with defense contractors, government customers and
research centers in the region as well as prior experience
with infrared technologies, imaging and night vision

- Extensive experience in working
with high tech defense contractors, government
customers and research centers in the region.
- Prior experience with infrared
technologies, imaging and night vision systems.
- Able to develop strategic
business relationships with key decision makers,
interface with internal company departments and
external partners to develop and implement strategies,
plans, and business models.
- Experience in making product
and technology presentations and developing technical
proposals that meet customer requirements.
- Strong customer relationship
- BS degree in engineering (or
equivalent) with a minimum of 7 years of business
- Excellent verbal and written
- Strong closing skills.
- Ability to travel significantly
- US Citizenship
- Prior security clearance
